The most likely cause of this happening is that you have a different font set in display mode and the editor so when the text is displayed, the character widths are not the same and hence they do not line up.
Setting Font in Display Mode
You can set the default font in lyric pad options under "Lyric Display"
Default is serif font or you can use the setting to use monospace as the default
Setting Font in Editor
- Open the editor
- Open the menu by pressing the menu button on your device (or long press the back button your device)
- Press the font option in the menu to toggle between monospace and serif font
ps. I highly recommend using the monospace font if you intend to line up characters as every character has the same width.
