Path lost and cannot reset was created by JohnMHoyt
OOOOkay, here's a strange one for you...
I apparently had two LyricPad folders on my tablet, and copied lyrics to the old one before a show. When showtime came, I didn't see the new lyrics.
So, being an idiot, I kept taking the path for the lyrics up a level, hoping to see my OTHER folder.
Now it's set to "/". And unfortunately, it doesn't show any other folders for me to select!
There's a prefs xml file that contains a path of "/" in it, but changing that via a text editor seemed to have zero affect for the lyrics folder.
That XML does not contain paths for the other two folders, just the lyrics.
So what can I do to get LyricPad happy again? Currently, it warns that I don't have read&write access to /.
This is a Fire 8, 2018 tablet...
There are no green folders showing after backing out to /

Sounds like you are in Lyric Pad 2 and not Lyric Pad 3 so I will move this to the LP2 support forum.
Easiest way for you to fix this is to press the reset button on the help screen.
This will reset ALL settings back to the original defaults
