It seems from the instructions to import your old data, one has to have the previous and current versions installed on the same device. I changed to a new device so this technique isn't going to work for me. Can I copy the songs and setlists of my old version into Lyric Pad 3?

I started using Lyric pad when it was free and then upgraded to the first paid version. Now I'm feeling abandoned as I have hundreds of songs that I would like to import into Lyric Pad 3, that I just purchased.

Hey Brad, i'm also struggling with version 3. Version 1 was perfect for my needs and have been using it forever, but the new version is very problematic. To get my songs across, i plugged my new tablet into my PC and just manually copied my txt files from my dropbox to the relevant folders (in this one they're in the folder /Android/data/com.dna.lyricpad3/files/). To my frustration, i can't get dropsync to access the lyricpad folder anymore. Why the lyric folders don't go under the user folder, i don't understand.

Like a lot of my fellow musos, we often call out songs on the fly when we play live because we never know what kind of crowd we're gonna get, so i tailor what we play based on what i see. It works really well. This new version doesn't let me do that anymore. All i want is a songlist in front of me where i can tap a song and it opens. That's it. Can't do that anymore. Can't even list the songs in the setlist by artists either, for crying out loud!!

I can't even transfer version 1 to my new tablet (and believe me, i've tried!). I don't know if anyone will get back to you in here. The last time i posted for help no-one got back to me and i had to work things out by myself. I've also downloaded SongbookPro as a comparison. It was pretty easy to import all my lyric text files into it surprisingly. It seems to be very similar to the first LyricPad, so i may stick with that and get V3 refunded. Will see how i go.

I'll let you know if i work anything else out.

Thank you for your reply! I agree completely about Lyric version 1 meeting my needs and wanting to change the order of my setlist on the fly. Lyric pad 3 is of little use to me. I switched to SingerPro which is a teleprompter application. There are quite a few. While SingerPro does not help in managing my lyric files, I can do without this function as I essentially do the same thing on my laptop by categorizing my files into folders. For me, SingerPro is a better solution than the teleprompter systems that cost over $1000 and sit on stage looking like a monitor.
