One of the most important tools at your disposal in Lyric Pad 3 is the system log.
The system log constantly adds information about what is happening in the background of Lyric Pad and has quite a lot of information about Automation.
To enable the the system log go into settings - debug and enable the log.
You can choose to have the logs saved to files if you wish but it is not necessary.
With the logs enabled, at any time you can go back into Settings - Debug and view the log.
When it comes to automation this is particularly useful as it adds information such as:
- Why Intelligent or Basic automation was chosen to be used for a particular song.
- What the scroll speed and start delay are set at
- And in the case of Intelligent Automation, how these were calculated.
Armed with this information you can then go into the song editor and make the changes that you wish to make.
This might be changing the duration delta in intelligent automation to make it calculate the automation based on a different duration.
Or you might decide to force a particular song to use basic automation instead.
