File Storage No Longer Accessible was created by drummer50
Issue: Synchronizing lyrics to Google Drive using DriveSync app is broken in Android version 14 with the February 5th security update.
Users and apps can no longer access the Lyric Pad folder, /storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.dna.lyricpad3/files/
As Android has implemented this level of security, breaking this file sync, maybe Lyric Pad can be updated to work around it.
Some ideas:
1. Store songs as media files. Lyric Pad and DriveSync can access media files such as photos and documents. If Lyric Pad stored files in a separate documents or media folder, we could once again sync with DriveSync.
2. Add import and export into Lyric Pad. If there was import and export functionality built-in, we could export some or all songs to another folder on the device, and then use DriveSync again. Even better would be export to cloud storage capability, such as Google Drive. This might work for app settings/configuration as well, which would allow you to move the app to a new device and keep your customization.
At this point, only our older devices still work. Band members with newer devices still getting updates can no longer access the songs using DriveSync or a file management tool such as X-plore
See this for details: www.lonelycatgames.com/docs/xplore/known-problems/no-android-data
The Dev for DriveSync also responded to my inquiry about this issue, saying that the functionality is likely permanently removed and his work-around for accessing these folders no longer works.
I am hoping Lyric Pad can include file management of some sort in a future release as sharing lyrics and set lists is very important to us.
Thanks

I recommend using a file management app that can access the /android/data/com.dna.lyricpad3/files/ path.
A good example of one that works is Marc Files

The Marc Files app works to access my existing lyrics, but doesn't fix the sync issue.

You will have to contact the developers of DropSync in regards to issues with their app. That is not something we have any control over however I am sure they would be working on the issue
