3.08 - TimeLine

The Lyric Pad TimeLine is a critical element to the workflow of the system.



Song Opened
When the user opens a song on the playlist or the refresh button is pressed to restart the song

Open in Paused State / Play Pressed
If the user has specified a start delay of 0 seconds (in settings) then Lyric Pad will wait for the user to press play before starting the count in

Start Delay
A delay between opening the song and the count-in started. By default this is 10 seconds.

Count-In Start / Count In
The count-in will either be a set amount of time (default 4 seconds) or, if the song has valid metronome information then a set number of bars (default 2 bars). (Metronome information required is beats per bar and beats per minute eg. 4 beats per bar and 120 BPM)

Song Start
The song start milestone is the time that is used for the commencement of backing track playback and the commencement of automation (scrolling)

Play Time / Marked Played
After a preset time has passed from the song start (default 60 seconds) then this song will be considered played. It will be indicated as played in the playlist as being crossed out and will be skipped when selecting songs (refer to the playlist topic for more details)
